Our Extra Special boy, Toffee, is around nine years old and a staggeringly attractive small, rough-haired cross-breed. Toffee has been in our Cyprus Shelter for one month, having been found wandering the streets. He has been found to be Extra Special in every respect.
Toffee has clearly been pre-loved and like so many others, simply discarded onto the streets. He loves his creature comforts, a lap and a cuddle and thoroughly enjoys a gentle stroll.
It became clear early on that Toffee is not in perfect shape, and indeed, blind in one eye. This caused the author to instigate a comprehensive veterinary examination. The result of this means that Toffee’s blind eye will be taken out. He will have extensive dental treatment and he has leishmaniasis, which is also being treated.
Toffee walks nicely on his lead, enjoys his time in the car and mixes happily with other dogs and cats. He should not be homed with children. Toffee’s adopter will, indeed need to be Extra Special and jump through many hoops. The prize is enormous.
